Valerie is a Vice President of the Society of Women Writers & Journalists, which was founded in 1894.  Since its inception many famous names have been associated with this Society.

She was instrumental in re-vitalising the Society and bringing it into the forefront of 21st century journalism and high-quality writing. www.swwj.co.uk

Having been a budding writer herself for many years exploiting her skills in Public Relations, her first article was published in Horse & Rider in 1975.  From that time onwards she wrote a regular double page for Pony Magazine and a monthly article for Horse & Rider.  In 1978 she collaborated with Janet Macdonald on “Riding Side-Saddle” published by Pelham.

In 1991, writing under the name of Sophia Daniel, she took over the dream page in Prediction Magazine interpreting readers’ dreams, a number of which are published monthly.  This is still ongoing.  During this time she has had two books published on dreams:  An Illustrated Guide to Dreams and Dream Healing, the latter also being published in Portuguese. She has other books in the pipeline.

This resulted in quite a number of radio and television appearances, usually listener and viewers ‘phone-ins. Also she provides copy and information on dreams for national newspapers and magazines as well as being a popular speaker.
